Hi all
Is there any way to change the colour of the dash when lit up from orange to blue? I want to do this as i just got a blue DVD/TV/Radio in dash and as I have the black/blue interior, I think the whole dash lighting up in blue would look fantastic. I realise there is nothing I can do with the LCD trip computer bit though.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Rich

Do a search.

It has been discussed before althought I'm not sure what the end result was.

Yes, I've seen those posts now. Clearly it has been done but the links that explain how to do it are now dead as it was 3 years ago. Anyone on here that has done this that could write a "How to" post on this subject please?

Many thanks in advance

Rich

I just got lucky on eBay and bought a Lockwood set of white dials that light up in Blue for £25. Now I just have to tackle the heating dials as I don't have the climate control (fortunately)

what year is your car? I got the lockwood blue ones for my 2005 one but they've changed the lighting configuration so in the dark nothing lit up at all. I contacted Lockwood and they researched and had to make me a brand new set specially for later model 206s (only managed to get orange illumination to work too)

Mine's a 2002. I guess what I bought will be no good then. however, i do know a pretty damn good electrician who could get it working maybe. I'll wait until i receive it to see.

yours should be ok - lockwood think it's 2004 onwards that they changed the configuration of the led lighting

On the same topic, is it possible to change the Multi Function display to blue? If I take it apart, am I likely to find it lights up orange because it has an orange plastic filter in it? Anyone attempted this?

I'll be getting my blue dials this week so I want to tackle the multi Function display and the heating controls (not the digital version)

Finally getting the bodykit fitted this week too! Whoo Hoo!!!

yes, I did try looking for this particular solution and I saw some links posted to a German site, but they were dead.

Any ideas? I can't try it now for a while as I just literally got back from dropping the car off at the body centre as its having the bodykit put on. I'd still like to get some ideas so when I get it back, i know what to try!

Thanks

I've just found another option for changing the dash light colour, and this place does just about any colour you like!

http://www.modworld.co.uk

Check it out as its fantastic, not only just for dashboard dials. Its solved my problem for getting my heater dials to light up in blue and its in stainless steel!

It does say that all the main dial kits are for pre 2002 but thats what my Lockwood set said, but after I cut out the hole for the extra button, its fitted perfectly. If you can't find the blue lockwood sets, you can also replace the LED's in the dash. There is a guy on eBay selling them all the time with full instructions. (Its not me!)

Everything you need to really change your dash and how it lights up! (and the link in the above post for changing the LCD colour)
