I have looked at and will shortly test drive a 206 cc for the first time. It is a lovely looking wee car and I am very tempted. I have read a lot of reviews ranging from the worst car ever to a wonderful piece of engineering and all sorts in between.
The things that seem common are that the roof can have problems, including leaks (maybe only the early versions ?), very squeaky brakes and the fact that after sales service at Peugeot is crap.
I would appreciate any comments on these concerns, plus has anybody used the puncture repair kit.............does it really work.

Many Thanks.

Hi MD, no car is faultless and this one is no exception  However mine was almost perfect apart from the squeaking brakes.

Generally the roof failed on older models so I would go for something 04 onwards. Leaks can happen on any drop top old and new, its just the luck of the draw.

And the Puncture repair kit is actually your breakdown service as mine didnt work at all!...

Get a bluey you know you want to

After sales service is crap. But no more than renault, opel... Squeeky brakes? No more squeeky than opel, renault, fiat... If you compare peugeot with these brands and models(megane cc, tigra tt...) go for peugeot. It's the best of the worst. You heare so many bad things about 206 because it's most selling car, but we at home have renault twingo, renault megane, and 206cc and I must say that that 206cc is more reliable than renault, and squeeks free than renault. I also had 106, and after 4 years of cross-europe driving ( all around croatia, italy and france) it was 100% squeek free (inculding plastic parts, brakes, doors, windows etc...). CC is only 1 year old, but it makes very silent sounds arround that parts where roof is conecting windshield glass and side windows, but NO leaking. I guess that bigest problem can be caused by electronics. That is wakest part of all european cars.

Thanks for the info, I will be test driving a igra at the weekend. The 206 was a nice drive but I found the foot well very narrow and uncomfortable.

I will see how the Tigra goes and let you know.

Thanks again.

Thanks for your input those who replied.

I am going for the Tigra, it seemed a better put together car, was quieter and there was room for my feet as well as the pedals.

It has only two seats and uses the area for back seats as extra storage space....much more sensible, the boot is also larger.

It was a hard choice but the Tigra seemed a better all round car and was a nice drive.

Thanks again.

Only thing wrong with the Tigra is you can only get two people in where at least with the CC you have at least a choice even if it is tight.

I have the Nissan 350Z Roadster but I couldn't just have that on it's own which is why I also have another car.

I had the old style tigra, that was a lot smaller inside compared to the cc.
