My wife has just bought her dream car, a 206cc 1.6s . The car is 2years old and still covered under warranty but seems to have an intermittent starting problem. The car sometimes takes three or four operations of the ignition switch in order to crank the engine and fire up. On rare occasions it starts 1st time. When the car doesn`t crank there is a distinctive "clicking" noise which sounds like its coming from under the dash . The dash / ignition lamps all come on ok.
Anybody had similar problems?

The car is due a 2 year service so hopefully they will also sort out the start problem. I`ll update with any findings. :)

Problem now sorted! Fault traced to sticking starter motor, new unit fitted
and now starts first time. :D
