Thanks chaps, looked at both for 205/45Z R16 Eagle F1 GS-D3's

mytyres are cheap (£77.80) but adding fitting brings price up by £13. Plus overall it takes longer to get tyres on the car.

Black circles £101.17 fitted

I found this lot: http://www.etyres.co.uk/car-tyres-batteries who came in at £91.09 fitted... at work... tomorrow. Ideal!

I'll report back how I get on.

Sorry to not have posted for so long- I've been in regularly to look but haven't had anything to add!

As Lyndon said, try your local independent tyre place, that's what I always found to be the cheapest.

Nice to hear from you again :)

Well, ordered online yestderday and they were fitted by 10.30 am today in Di's work car park.
I think this works in a similar way to my-tyres i.e. National online website but tyres fitted by local mobile fitter.

Anyway, saved £60 over Kwik Fit and didn't have to waste my lunch hour in their draughty waiting room. Result!

Will let you know if there are any downsides, i.e damage, when I have a look later... ;)

Still no plans to sell the cc.
She has had her fair share of her trips to the :mfight: :mfight: , but all under warranty. That runs out next month though, so will have to see how we get on after that!

Got a sensible family car on the way to replace our aging MkII Golf (Audi A4 Avant 2.0 TDI S-Line) so no "Practicality" issues for selling the cc, and besides, we live by the seaside and the sun will soon be out again! Sam is now talking, and 'Roof Off Daddy please" is in his vocabulary!

I found an independant tyre fitter just outside Newbury called Headley Tyres that supplied 2 Eagles for £62 each plus VAT, bargain!!

For anyone in the area they are on the A339 just south of Newbury 01635 268384.

Yeah they're cheap but just check they've put your wheels back on PROPERLY before you leave!!! I bought from them years ago and was almost home when the wheel started juddering. Ended up tightening it up in Tescos car park

cheapest doesnt usually fit them correctly... Ive pissed away money going for the cheaper option and they've abnormally worn, even when balanced etc...

£62 plus VAT is £73 which is about what mytyres quoted for the second generation Eagle.
I paid a bit more and went for the latest (third) generation.

And fitted correctly too.

friends and family have bought from mytyres on several occasions and I get a friend at a local fitting centre to fit them.

The last ones we did, my Dad saved £30 on a pair of Bridgestones for his Yaris
