Hi,
Anyone got a 'How To' on removing the front bumper? Need to fit a Lower SP grille at the weekend for my girlfriend.

I know people say it's tricky, but it's only a bumper at the end of the day, worst case scenario, i'll buy a Haynes manual (must remember to dis-connect the battery first!).

Thanks for any help.

Steve

Hi,

Yeah i've tried the repair section, but when I click on the Front Bumper Removal link, it doesn't work. Do you have the same problem accessing that page too?

Cheers

Not a bad job if you take your time.
Take off all the front grille with the star bit fittings. Next remove the plastic trim which sits just above the bumper, bit of a bugger to get this off without snapping the plastic fixings but if you do you can get them from Peugeot. Next remove the plastic fixings which hold the inner wing covers on and pull the inner wing cover to one side, it's the only way to access the two fixings on the top of the bumper. All thats left to remove is the two star fixings under the front of the car.
I may have missed something as i Don't have my CC any more (traded in for a WRX) But take your time and you should be ok.
Hope this helps.

Got mine done form a local garage, 2 hours £20,

my time is more valuable than that.

You know what to do, take it to the garage, and tell your girlfriend you did it, its win win.

Fladaap!

Excellent page - many thanks. Had a rough idea, but it's always nice to be sure, especially when it's someone elses car!

Cheers

Hi,

We bought a grille for my 206cc and the guy we bought it from just said to fit it over the top of the original one, hubby did it and it looks great, the guy said it would take ages to remove the original, so we thought we'd try it.

Well, it's done. Start to finish 2 hours. But I reckon I could now do it in 1 hour.

On my girlfriend's '04 CC, the inner wheel arch is all one piece rather than two, but apart form that, the instructions were spot on.

Didn't want to bodge the grille by sticking it over the plastic one, plus also, I reckon it could be nicked quite easy this way (although it's easily done the proper way).

Final step is the middle piece, either side of the badge - how do these fit on?

Cheers
