Hi folks,
I recently sold my 406 v6 executive and have just bought a 206 gti this weekend gone. Its 5 years old with 67 thousand on the clock.
My first impressions are a bit mixed. The negatives are that the seat position is a bit awkward, the gears are a bit floppy, it doesn't accelerate quite as well as I thought and the clutch bites at quite a high point.
The plusses are, its a great looking car, it pulls well in third and above, its roomy in the front and holds the road like a dream. overall, I am very pleased with it and I've got plans to do a little work on it. ie lowering suspension, exhaust and tuning. This is a good site and I hope to chat with some of you in the near future.

Hi,
I just got my 206cc last Wednesday, and like you, have found the bite of the clutch to be quite high. I am assured though, that this is quite normal, and after adjusting my seat somewhat, am now getting quite used to it.
Unlike you, I won't be modifying it. I like it the way it is already. I'm hoping that if everyone else modifies their pug, mine will be the different one. LOL.
Dunno about you, but this constant rain is annoying me a bit - can't show off the roof!!
From one new member to another - Welcome.

the 206 gti won't accellerate well compared to the v6 406! the gti engine isn't ever gonna set the world alight...but it's quite nippy at higher revs. The 206 is excellent to modify too...sooo many things you can do to it, I really loved modding my hatch.
I got my cc about 8 weeks ago now...had the roof down a few times but can't wait til the summer now to start really enjoying it. Gives me plenty of time to modify it though..already done quite a few bits
