I got my info for peugeot's press department (I'm a recognised press person from doing pgac magazine) - they were a bit more forthcoming that that but basically said it's ages off still so don't hold your breath :(

I really like the rear quarter shot. It looks to me like the boot is possibly smaller. I hope not ;-(

Like most of you I'm not too impressed with the front, but I remember how I disliked the 206 front when I first saw it, so I think it'll grow on me.

I'll buy one when it comes time to replace my 206cc.

Did they really move the fuel filler to the nearside? Maybe they just flipped the picture to make them all seem like they were going in the same direction? The SW pic has it on the offside but the 206 and cc have it nearside...

A few weeks back I saw a picture of the 207 GTI. Looks much better as a two door and from what I could tell it had wider wings and from the side the windows had a kind of rc spades kind of shape. Hopefully the 207cc will look as good. The GTI is supposedly getting a 6 speed gearbox along with the 190+ bhp engine which will also be seen in TNG mini. However the mini cooper S will not have as much power? According to what I read it is all to do with the software in the engine managment. A bit like what they do between the mini one to the mini cooper. The engine is the same, but the software for the engine management is different. Quite why BMW want less power than the Peugeot is a bit odd. I guess they can con buyers in to buying a works kit or something for the extra BHP. Anyway the article was saying that Peugeot want there hot hatch crown back. So heres hoping. Oh and it also stated that as well as a 207cc there may also be a fixed head coupe. A kind of 207 puma?

Anyway the 206 is also going to remain in production as a kind of lower budget alternative to the 207.
