hi everybody, i was wondering if you could answer a question, i have just brought a 2005 1.6 allure, its two weeks old. i heard a rattle from under the bonnet and when i looked the rubber strap that holds the water bottle for the rad had broke. i took the car back to the showroom for repair they said it would take 2 days to get the new part. when i got the car home i checked it and they have put two cable ties on it. when i phoned and complained i was told this is a common fault about the rubber band and the cable ties do a better job. is this true and has anybody else had this problem. because i class this as a defect, and i am considering contacting peugeot about it. many thanks for any help trixie

Welcome
Peugeot will almost definately fob you off with stories but then any car dealer will. If you aren't happy then take it further but I think you will be fighting a no win battle.
This is a very tiny problem compared to what could go wrong with your car.... pug build quality is very poor and its the more severe problems that you have to keep fingers crossed for to stay away.
Hope it all goes well, and enjoy the rest of the summer
