FINALLY! Got our moonstone 2.0 cc yesterday. It says 5/02, and we got it on 31/5/02! Do you think that was too quick?!
Still haven't figured everything out yet, especially how to lower the seats, but enjoying figuring the car out! We've driven practically all over Melbourne this morning, starting out with the roof down in 10 degrees Celsius, but it was still warm in the cabin, even without a windstopper. Fingers crossed, no problems...

what with the new car and the world cup, been too busy to surf the net.
matt, we got moonstone, black leather (though it looks more grey to me), manual 2.0l. i think all the others are standard. the only other things we could squeeze out of the dealer was extended warranty to 3 years for free, light protectors and floor mats (and the child seat which is standard anyway). insurance with racv is $860 (would have been $830 without the leather seats).
i noticed there isn't a switch to deactivate the passenger airbag - is that the same as other aussie cc's?
it's going to hail on sat, but i don't think i'm keen to test it out for leaks!

I am pretty sure that it is illegal not to have a deactivation switch for the passenger airbag in case of you needing to place a child seat there.
Are you "sure" you don't have one???
Surely if you get a free child seat in Australia then they must have a deactivation switch as if in an accident the airbag would kill the child. Sorry to sound morbid but I can't see how they can't have a deactivation switch?????

Airbag deactivation switches aren't allowed here in Australia. I don't know the reason, but I guesss the rationale is that it's a safety device and it shouldn't be at the decision of the driver to use it or not. This is why we get a child seat with the car, as a special child seat is needed to fit in the back seats of a CC.
The absence of the switch is a part of the manufacturing process for Aussie CC's so they'll comply with Aussie road law.
Hope this helps

Oh I see. The free child seat you get goes in the back of the CC???
Thanks for clearing that up Frosty!
Was a little concerned about that!

Blimey that sounds crazy to me!
Its a little strange if you never intend to have children or have already got grown up children to have to lug a child seat about with you or store it somewhere until you sell your CC!?
??:
I thought us Brits were the ones to come up with the crazy ideas!!!
