Hi all
Seeing as Peugeot cant help I thought I would ask the experts.......... Whilst cleaning the car the other week I broke the two circular mat hold down clips that came with the "Official" Peugeot 206cc mats.

Thinking that I would be able to buy replacements I trolled down to the dealers and showed them what I wanted.... they got a set of 206 mats out and showed me that they came with the mats  ........ then looked at loads of part numbers and :? .... you guessed it had to order them.

When the items came in they were wrong and so loads more hunting was done....... but no part number could be found and so I was referred to Peugeot head office customer service  Nooooooooo not them, please Nooooooo.

I e mailed them through the website, you see there has been an information technology revolution and messages can be transmtted at the speed of light and recieved seconds after they are sent...... but obviously not in Peugeot land! :x
2 weeks later I have been trying to speak to someone about it and have been told that the response time is 6 days for e mail!!!!!! but they will transfer me  After a long wait I got cut off :x having rung back I got an answer phone  Having left a message I have heard nothing  so I am coming to my friends who I know wont let me down :D

The mat set part number is 9664 ps and the broken clip has the moulding number 979233343 which Peugeot tell me is no use at all :|

Anyone got a part number for just the clips or any ideas where I can buy them without a full set of mats???

Go to the service dept or valeting dept of a Peugeot dealer. They usually have all sorts of bits and pieces spare. Our Laguna mats had the retainers missing, dealer referred us to the "cleaners" and they had a "bucket" load of mat retainers and various other bits of trim from R*****ts. They found two of the correct clips and gave them to me for nothing.

Thanks for the suggestions so far everyone. :D

I had a call from peugeot customer service this morning and my frustration reached new heights....... It seems that they cant deal with customers who have a problem with peugeot spare parts and have suggested I e mail Head office (again) Their role seems to be to deal with warranty claims and it keeps them very very busy!

The worrying thing was the guy from customer service knew about the issue with customers not being able to get mat clips without mats but didnt seem to think it could be resolved. :(

So I am now back in the hands of Peugeot head office, and the valeting department of the local peugeot dealer.

Being a very sad individual I decided to check whether BMW could get spare mat hold down jobbies for my other car, one phonecall to one dealer and ...... yes you guessed it .. "we have them in stock sir, 75p how many do you need?" No wonder they have just overtaken mercedes as the no 1 supplier of luxury vehicles worldwide.

cheers

Forget Pug CS and just get 2 x 6" nails and nail them down - so much easier
