more details ........................

Tout Francais voitures jour — roughly translated to All French Car Day — is on again.

This is the biggest day of the club year. It is when we show off our cars and link up with the Citroën, Renault and other car clubs.

Those who have attended in the past will know the routine. Arrive by 10 am, pay a $5 entry fee, park your car on the field and enjoy the day wandering around looking at all the French cars on display.

The day is planned as a family event, with food and drinks available for sale from the friendly people of the Concord Rotary Club, or bring your own for a picnic by the Parramatta River in the shadow of the Silverwater Rd bridge.

So its time to wash and polish your car, get out the vaccuum cleaner - then turn up at Silverwater Park for the event.

Well it was a pretty good day with lots of cars on display. Unlike last year, the weather was perfect.

It's a shame more CC's werent on display :(

It was an excellent turn out, no doubt the near perfect weather helped a lot.

Pity there weren't more cc's. Matt would've definitely had a concours trophy if there was only one other in the line up.

I chatted briefly with the guy who had the Moonstone cc from the 'gong. He had an interesting accessory fitted (apparently, genuine Peugeot too).

These were little half oval flaps. Looked to me like they were made out of the same material as the windstop. They seemed to be fitted (somehow?) somewhere between the side windows and their purpose was to provide shade for the backseat passengers (in this case, his kids).

I hadn't seen these before. Don't actually want or need them, but I thought they were interesting all the same.
Cheers,
Michael
