206 Specification 2003 model year

2003 model year 206 (and 206 CC) specification upgrades have been announced today on UK spec vehicles. The 206 hatchback range has also now been split into 2 groups, the Classic and Sports ranges, which are outlined below:

CLASSIC:

STYLE : Now gets electric windows, modular front passenger seat, 60/40 split rear seat, rear 3 point centre belt and 3 rear headrests.
Insurance groups are now : 1.1 petrol = 3
1.4 diesel = 4
ECO diesel = 5

LX : Now comes with automatic headlights, automatic windscreen wipers, front fog lights and athermic windscreen, plus Speed related PAS on 2.0 HDi Diesel models (from 10th June build only). Moonstone metallic paint is now an option.
Insurance groups are now: 1.1 petrol = 3
1.4 petrol = 4
1.4 diesel = 4
2.0 diesel = 5

GLX : Now comes with ABS Braking and alloy wheels. Moonstone metallic paint is now an option. Ins. group is: 1.4 petrol = 5.
1.6 petrol = 8.
2.0 diesel = 5

Roland Garros : New Tan & Green leather trim and side airbags and full body colouring. Insurance group is now 8.


SPORTS

Quiksilver : Receives ABS braking, electric heated door mirrors and visiblity pack as detailed on LX. Insurance group is now 5.

XSI/D-TURBO : Receives side airbags, visibilty pack (as LX), electric mirrors and body coloured door handles, number plate housing, and mirror housing.
Insurance groups are now : XSi = 8
D-Turbo = 5
GTI: No change

CC: 1.6 S receives Sports front bumper (as 2.0 SE), 1.6 S insurance group is also lowered to 11 for 12!


Also free insurance is on extended to the following cars: Style, Look, LX, GLX and Quiksilver for retail customers aged 21-80.

A new lower rate finance @ 9.9% APR passport is available on all models excluding 206 CC, VAN, SW and Silver and Black models.



ALSO!

An exclusive run of the Silver and Black range of vehilces. These models are exclusive with only a small production run, see the other post in forum.

Would the insurance rating reflect on older CC's as well or just the new 2003 spec.
