Thinking of buying a 206cc looking for advice

As the subject suggests I am thinking of buying a 206cc but was hoping to get some advice.

I have a 3.5yr old and I wondered what experience any of you have had trying to get toddlers and car seats in the back. He's only small and has a Bebeconfort Iseos seat, if anyone has this seat and a 206 cc I'd love to hear from you.

But basically any advice or experience any of you've had, I'd really appreciate.

If I was you I would go to a dealer and try it.

I have had one for a year and I love it. From all the "little people" I have in the cc they love it even more.

As Bif says, go to a dealer and try - I'm sure they wouldn't mind.

There isn't a lot of room in the back but when I had my CC I once had two adults squashed in the back and they survived so you should be ok for a good few years yet

I've had my cc almost a year now - littlen was 3.5 yrs old - now 4.5! (Time flies when you're having fun!)

It's not hard to get them in or out, but as with all car seats, the child needs more leg room as their little legs stick out! It was ok behind the passenger seat, with it forward a bit more than normal, but not much use with a passenger in it!

So....he goes in the front seat, in his car seat. Which is now down to booster seat only and his legs are long enough to dangle down properly, rather than stick out! The upside, is that he can undo the roof catch for me when needed! Since it's just me and littlen, it's not a problem to have him taking up the front seat. And he does go in the back if I've got a passenger...but it's usually just short, local journeys.

The other problem, the back seats are low, your child won't be able to see through to the front - he'll be looking at the back of the front seat. My son didn't like that at all!

As mentioned above, go and try out your car seat and your child on a test run at a dealers and see if it works for you and your child.

Thanks for your advice, I've been to Carcraft this weekend and although I don't plan to get my car from there they were very helpful and I plan to go back with the little fella and car seat.

Ali - have you turned off the airbag in the front or left it on? I'm worried that an airbag might be too much for a little one. Can you turn it back on? or once de-activated is that it, it's useless?

There's a keylock to the right below the steering wheel which allows you to activate and de-activate the passenger airbag.

Sam, our 9 month old son, rides in the front in his ISOFIX car seat with the airbag turned off. He loves being able to see where he is going!
You can deactivate/activate the airbag as often as you like.
Not tried putting him in the back yet, basically because I feel he is safer in the front.

my 6 month year old was squashed in the back of mine so i don't think you'd stand much chance with a toddler. Unless they ride in the front, but i think there are legal implications to riding in the passenger seat, i could be wrong
