hi i know i should not take my car to the car wash.but i need to know if any one else has any problems with the paint coming off on the boot lid near the rear window.as this is the second time this has happened in two years.the dealer is now saying that the car should not be taken through the car wash to be cleaned.SO DOES THIS MEAN ALL 206CC WERE NOT MANUFACTURED TO BE ABLE TO GO THROUGH A CAR WASH.ALL OWNERS PLEASE BEWARE![/b]

the only paint I lose from mine is due to stone chips

Hope to look at the resprayer parts to see whether the new paint is more chip resistant than the original

dealer is going to look at it tommorow to see if it can be reprayed again under warranty.i have already took it to the spray shop where they sprayed it before and they are saying that the metal is smooth so it is not rust or a problem with the paint coming off.the only thing i can think of why this is happening is because the brushes are not going along the car when it is cleaning the wheels at the back and they are in the same position rotating but not moving along the car, this is happening on the boot near the rear side windows both sides where the boot sticks out a little bit.the car wash in question is the brush and buff car washes.so please beware!p.s i will let you know the outcome.

Nothing lazy about taking a car through the car wash. It does a better job than me and much quicker. It also cleans the underside.

How new is your car? New paint is still fairly 'wet' for several months. It takes a while to fully harden.
