All,

Due to lack of handbook I was wondering if somebody could tell me soemthing about the serviceing. At what mileage is the first service due and thereafter. Also do you need the handbook or anything else to give to Peugeot to show them that you have a warranty.

Much Appreciated,

Marco

I presume you haven't got a service book either. but my service book, the dealer stamped the first page, which indicated the first service is free, ie which ever dealer you take the car, they rip out the voucher with the dealer stamp and send it to peugeot to get their money back. So it may be worth

also first service 6000 or 6 months, then 20000 or 2 years

hope this helps

Col,

Thanks. So the very first time you have to take it back to Perugeot is at 6000 miles. I thought I read somewhere that the first one was 1000 miles and then 60,000 miles. Also do you know if the frist service is free to imports?

Peugeot do charge to service imports and that includes the first (usual free) service.

It isn't that much. From what I remember people saying it is about £18.

Thanks Julia. Would you mid telling me exactly what documentation is supposed to come with the car so I know what to chase my dealer up on (Service book / Manual / Warranty docs etc)?

Thanks,

Marco

Ummmm it was so long ago and I am not the right person to ask!
Here are the ones I can think of though!
Manual, service log book, peugeot assistance card (which has the number you call incase of any problems)

(The log book and manual are in a little folder)

You should also have a key code card

Oh yes!
Make sure you get both keys! (Some members only got one key!!!!)
The spare key will have the key card on it.
Also don't forget to get the full tank of petrol and the set of mats which you negotiated from your sales man!!! ;)

Hi Julia

Free mats, whats free mats!! I couldn't believe when they refused to give me a set. But in the end they forgot to charge me for black paint and sports pack for some blizare reason so i'm happy.

Also make sure you get the code for the stereo, mine came on the main invoice thing!! not a seperate card. otherwise your pack contains what julia and rapsodi have already mentioned

Hi,

My car is an import, but came with the stamp in the service book for the free 6000 mile service, so I think anyone else with an import should get it free too. (Haven't cashed it in yet, only done 5000, but if they try not to honour it they'll have an argument on their hands!

My first service is 20000km - does this make sense?

Sorry Ni'cc'k, i was talking about the old spec car, dunno anything about the multiplex ones.

Anyway i want a new front bumper too and i want the goodies you get with the multiplex cars. Serves me right for getting the car so early

as for marco, if you unsure about service times call a peugeot dealer and ask them but i am sure its first service 6000 miles or 6 months, well thats what i did anyway.

Ok thanks Col.

Also I know that it is not possible to get 206CC car mats but what are the price of the normal 206 mats and are they any good?
