when engine is runnjng turnjng key off wont stop engine even with key removed any ideas
Could be loads of things.. We had a van at work that if you pushed the brake pedal down you could turn the ignition off and take the key out, it would stay running. The dealer found the stop/tail bulb had been put in wrongly and when the brake light was on it livened up the positive ignition circuit.
Obviously starting it needs the security features of the fob but once it's running all bets are off
I know this thread is a bit old and you will hopefully have solved the problem by now. But I had the same problem which turned out to be a dodgy stop/tail light bulb (short circuit or something similar).
if its a old style engine and not hdi? the prob is probably a stuck fuel shut off solenoid on da back of the pump.
not to bad to do,depending if its got pcpu? you will need to code the new solenoid to the car.
never heard of this b4 dunno what it might be
