Anyone out there had this one?
On sat my 2.0cc started having a constant audible warning inside the car. It only happens when the vehicle is moving, when stationery with the engine running it stops. There have been no warning lights come on and no illuminated messages either. I was hoping that like the other problems I have had with this vehicle it would just go away in its own time but it is driving me mad!
Anyone experiened it or have any suggestions? Disconnecting it sounds like the best bet to me??!!
I was wondering if it was anything to do with the seatbelts as I have noticed once before that if you drive without your seatbelt on you get the same but I am wearing my seat belt when this happens.

Have you checked the roof? Does it open properly? As when I couldn't operate my roof they was a constant beeping noise until I got it repaired at the local garage.

I decided to become a member today after my 206cc 2.0i had a constant warning noise with no warning lights... looked through the threads and found this one. Decided to try opening roof and closing it... it worked! Thank you all so much for replying about this problem and for being such great members of a great forum!

Hi and greetings from Belgium!
Been watching the forum for a while but until today didnt need to complain about the car.
Just got the same problems as these other guys with a constant alarm, will try the roof thing as it started from when I put the roof up yesterday so makes sense - two questions though..
1) anyone know where the dodgy sensor maybe on the roof that causes this fault of the car thinking the roof is still not closed?
2) Would I be right in assuming that these warnings dont come up on the dispaly like the door open etc as they took the system straight out of the normal 206 and didnt put in any additional 'graphics' for the CC's particular items? Just a wandering!
Cheers and lets hope fir a sunny weekend - or any sun here in Belgium is good!

Ok, opeend and closed the roof and the alarm has gone!
Took a closer look and it was definatley the boot lid catches not engaging properly as before it tried the roof you could push on the boot lid and it was moving. Much tighter and locked down the second time when the fault was gone - off to the dealer to get the catches checked out and re-set.
Just as an interesting add on - if you get the alarm and want to know if it is the roof not closed fault - then try the rear screen de-mister - is it doesnt work then you can be sure the car thinks the roof is still not up - clever huh? ok, so you probobly already knew that but not often i discover something all on my own,
Thanks and great forum!!
