NOS isnt legal for road use and some garages wont pass your MOT if you have it installed particulary if it is connected up, others will if it installed but not connected and other more leanient places just take your word that it is not used except for show use.
Plus from what people were saying before about all the different type of system there is different types of nos too like Dry and Wet.
In my opinion and previous knowledge though it does reduce your engine life quite a bit not only that but other things tend to go like the exhaust etc and I have known the chassis to twist slightly before.
Stick to the standard engine upgrades I say.

Is this all on the standard crank??? If it is then it will end in tears...very quickly.

you will be amazed how much extra power and torque you wil get from your car if you just get a remap.the software for the stand set up is very restrictive due to l4 emissions and sound levels.etcetc.will easy put an extra 20 bhp on top which is very noticable :D
Reap,

what is a remap?

where can i get it done and cost.

does it affect warrantie and isurance.

more important, will the engine pass the yearly emission tests at MOT/TÜV/APK etc....

Losing the Cat also improves the horsepower, not by 20 (as I do not believe a remap can do, I have driven a chipped and an unchipped Elise and there was some difference in low end torque but no big Vmax difference...)

A remap is normally getting someone like Superchips to install a chip in the ECU with modified/rewritten software that improves the performance of the engine. They normally make a noticeable differance and can be picked up very reasonable..........most of them are under £300 fitted.

The car should still pass MOT Emissions test without any problems but check out the website -

10bhp probably means about 5bhp in reality...
