Does any one know if lowering the 206 cc is just as simple as changing the 4 springs or is there anything else that needs to be done?

Thanks
Craig

i just had the front springs done and the torison bar or whatever its called adjusted.

50-60mm drop and looked good but it kills the suspension. had it all fixed but it was knackered again when i went to sell the car.

if you are going to do it then do it right. >>>>>>> awaits teddy gti for the right info as he knows his stuff :D

Yeah if you just want to lower it then just get some new front springs...and lower the back end with the torsion bars...

I would get new uprated dampers though but then i wanted mine to handle better not just be lowered...

You can't go wrong with Eibach front springs. they do cost a bit more but they are pretty much the best you can get. The Pro Kit drops it 30mm but i'm convinced mine has settled a bit as i cant even geta trolley jack under the front of the car now!

I just got my car back...
it's lowered only with springs and the original dampers...

you can lower your 206 with only frontsprings but no more than 40mm to keep it save...
luckily the original peugeot dampers are pretty strong so they can handle it...

the torsion bar can be hard to get loose but there you dan't need any springs...

I 'll see how long de dampers will hold...

Do you have any pictures of it lowered as was intending to get mine done when i pick it up next week but got my 106 lowered 55mm and thats not low enough for my liking but my mates gf has her cc done and thats only done about 30mm and that looks fairly low.

Dropping the front by 30mm allows bumps to be taken without too much worry of bottoming out. It also avoids the sunken looking rear end (See above!) which also gives more camber to the wheel.

If you consider the fact you can't get your hand between tyre and front arch that shows it's low enough!

And doesn't it look pretty under the arches too...those are GTi 180 brakes...

60mm??? I do hope you're not serious. Suspension is there for a reason and lowering it that much won't do the dampers, handling or the car any good.
