brake system front

ive got a 306 turbo d '98' with abs and want to know what bigger brakes i can put on my car. does any know what bigger size, type, calipers i can use? and of what car?

maybe try a site such as the PGAC at www.peugeot-gti.net as most owners on this site are more knowledgeable about 206CC's.

unless teddy is around and knows.....

Yes..

Calipers and discs from the 306GTi/6 or Citroen Xsara VTS (identical) will bolt straight on.. They have a diameter of 285mm and a thickness of 22mm..

Or calipers and discs from the 206GTI180 will bolt straight on.. They have a diameter of 285mm and a thickness of 24mm..

You standard discs are 266mm in diameter..

I use the GTi 180 front brakes (they're actually 283mm) and they seem a lot chunkier (therefore heavier) than the original 266mm discs...
I can't say they work any better as i don't drive the car that hard often but they won't do any harm.
Not only do they have a bigger diameter, the brake pad surface is bigger and they are that bit thicker so they don't fade so quickly either...
Mine cost me £165 from an 800 mile old car! Bargain!
