welcome (almost) to the world of the CC :)

best bet is to search the problem forums as the common problems have been discussed a few times over the years.

cheers

I went look at one the other week and noticed that the leather on the steering wheel was worn even though it supposingly had done 12k miles and was an 03 plate which seemed slightly odd to me.

mine has just passed the 12k mark, although it is an 04 reg... and there is no wear of the steering wheel.

common faults are squeaky brakes, squeaking clutch pedal, roof leakage (happens with most convertibles anyway) and hesitancy in the 1.6litre model...

an important check is to make sure the roof works ;) also look at the alignment of the doors as some are badly fitted.

have fun with a great car though!

I had a new steering wheel fitted under warranty ...looked like Sh*t after about 10000 miles, the new one seems to be holding up much better even though its up to 37000 now....

What do you people do with your steering wheels ? Have just hit the 10000 in my 53 reg and mine looks as good as new. Good luck Sarah - come the summer you will be so glad you have a 206cc 8)
Life's too short to drive around with your roof up.
