I have had my 206cc 1.6s about 8 weeks now and I have become aware of a cople of problems 1. Neither the Glovebox light Ashtray light or Cigarette lighter works (no power for charging mobile phones) plus the interior light won't switch on manually even with the engine running. 2. I have the squeaky brake problem. 3. A strange anti-pollution fault message pops up sometimes and the engine seems lumpy when idling in traffic. I have read other threads on this forum and I am wondering if this is a common fault on 2002 Multiplex cars?

When I took delivery of my car I had a problem with no power to the cigarette lighter, and the same problem with the interior light (amongst other things).

The dealer got them fixed, but I'm not sure exactly what they did.

Take it to a dealer and they should sort it out,

J

Finally booked in to have it's 6k checkup and mentioned the above problems. got told they only have a 4 hour slot to carry out the service and repairs will wait and see if they are sorted.

I had the same problem with the cigarette lighter/interior light/glove box when I picked up my car. Took it back in the next day and they told me a fuse had gone....only took a couple of minutes to fix and its all fine now!

When all your light problems have been fixed you will find you have a light in your ashtray. The same fault was wrong with mine and I didn't know it should have a light in the ashtray!!!!

Where is this ashtray light then :???:

I can't seem to see one unless its that red thing on the left of it.

Found something new out today though

Unless you shut the doors properly when you pull away the interior light blinks on and off.

Not to sure. They probably cleaned them i guess or they put new discs on. All I know is that the squeaking has stopped and my Girlfriend no longer gets complaints from the neighbours about my car driving down the hill from her house.
