Anyone who can give some word of advice on placing a strut brace on a 2001 2.0 ?

Dunno, but I reckon that it not that hard....
The only thing I don't have is a cutout template ( to make the hole in the Air inlet compartment, any hints or tips ?

(have bought me a raceland aluminium strut brace on ebay for 30 euro 8) )

well the thing is mounted 8) , the job was indeed not that difficult and it makes a hell of a difference on bad roads (reduces/halves the rattle).

Dunno about high speed stability, but I guess that has improved too :D

Well I never thought it was going to be rocket science, only small prob I came across was that the accelarator cable got stuck and now the gas pedal seems to have a bit more resistance..... but that was the risk of continuing the job when it got dark

Guess I'll have to swap the cable lining if it does not improve, that should not be a problem though.

I have to put one in at the end of march... i have the strut bar already put I'm just going to install it when the wheels and the lowering are getting installed...

How did you worked out where to drill the hole ?

Have any pics of it installed ?

I mounted the strut part of the brace and drew an imaginary line to the other side, with my strut brace it was not difficult, as the distance to the metal to put the hole in was small.

Could make some pics, but seen one seen all....

well , picked up my new PDA and I can vouch for high speed stability ;)

Windforce 9 and 190 km/h makes no big impression on the stability 8)
