I am currently in the process of possibly taking my dealership to court if they do not replace my 206cc or refund my money in full, due to them selling faulty goods. ie they knew about the problems with the vehicles yet they still sell them without the customer knowing - something highly illegal. I have seeked legal advice and they do not have a leg to stand on. I was wondering if anyone else has also gone through this and what was the outcome, can you offer me any further advice so that I can get this over and done quickly. I really dont want to loose the car but I cant afford to waste any more time taking it back and forward.

If its one of the early cars like mine, you could come to an agreement like I have done with Peugeot and get a new one at a 'good rate'.

Hmm, It seem that I missed some important
information. What is the problem with the vehicles?

cheers

I am not going to pay any money to them. They do not have a leg to stand on. They took you for a ride if you had to pay out money for a new one. It is the sellers responsibility to provide you with a vehicle that meets the Sales of goods act.

hardly a ride. I have had lots out of them and will only pay £300 for 14months hire and 12,000 miles. plus other freebies from them. A good deal I would say.

So what's the matter with your car? Let me guess, leaking? suspension problems? roof problems? refusing to start? or all of the above?!

Leaks
Roof failures
boot out of line
suspension
headlights
bodywork
brakes
seats
alloys
batteries

shall I go on....even my dealer agreed with me in talks with Peugeot and basically said it was a Friday afternoon car.

I understand you NS. Here in Norway we have had several cases based on the fact that the seller know more about the serious weak sides of a car then he has told the coustomer. The dealers almost everytime have to pay back the money....
But i think robs solution is better ....
Its better with a deal which include a new cc.

I'm not 100% about this but I was told that I don't think that I dealer has to replace the car. As long as they fix the problems that is all that the law requires.

I think its a different case if the car has a safe issue.

I had a 206 before my 206cc and ran into a bit of trouble and this is what I was told. I'm not sure if the sales of goods act is applicable in case with cars...

I'm not sure but this is what I was told. It might be different for the fact that like you say they are selling cars that they know have design faults in the first place.

Have to say I'm quite nervous. I pick up my new this week and I keep reading about fault after fault. They do seem to be hit and miss though.

I do feel that I had a bit of a friday afternoon car in my current vehicle a 306.

I know how frustrating it can be to get a vehicle which, on the surface is the same as all the others.... but 'just not right'.

It's awful. Fingers crossed.

Hello NS

Have you actually told the dealer you're doing this and what was their response.

I wouldn't have thought it would be necessary to take them to court etc.

keep us informed on whats happening

i think a lot of us have problems with our CC but because we like them so much, we chose not to reject them and so peugeot just keep churning them out with the same probs

There are some "Good" CC's out there, Cos I have one! 23K miles later

Look around at other Marques forums and you will see that the majority of manufacturers have problems...

Peugeot not being particularly good.. Doh
