So anyway, like I said, Lyndon's ding a great job and I think everyone appreciates that.

So now to my ideas that got removed in the crossfire

Maybe the FAQ could be updated to say something like:

* Posts should be on-topic for the forum its posted in. In the case of the "Discussion" forum, anything goes (within reason of course)

* Adverts (for sale and wanted) should be posted in the appropriate foum, not in the discussion forum.

How 'bout it? At least people can then be pointed to the FAQ (which they should have read before posting in any case :razz:)

And then there was my suggestion for the creation of an alt.autos.peugeot.206cc group - there is an alt.autos.peugeot group, but nobody in there seems to have a 206cc.

What do people think about this?

Its alright having a channel on newsgroups, but they get loads of abuse from porn posters, it would get loads more hassle then the forums getting now

agree about the faq and would agree about the newsgroup but agree with the reply before me about porn/junk mail.

i used to subscribe to alt:music:shamen and ended up finding most posts were junk.
