My dealer told me that the exhaust was only covered for a year. I even tried arguing that the problem could have been enhanced when they changed the manifold........no go. That was when I went to the dealer after being hung up on when I called and asked them for a price, they couldn't because their records are totally inaccurate and my car is listed as a 1.4 5 door hatch in red. when I expressed my unhappiness at this the line went dead.
my dealer said 2yrs for exhaust and i was 2 weeks off it - they even made the job card up there and then incase it never arrived in time.

that was after giving them hell that week over other issues and the fact that i never even bought the car off them.

had problems with this dealer but overall they have given me excellent service since i refuse to go anywhere near my original dealer.

Update, I took up a long phone call to customer care. Gave them chapter and verse about my whole CC owning experience. At the end of the call I had no luck with the guy he basically told me "tough". As a final shot I asked to speak to Andy Swietophowski. He was not available but they took my number and said he would call the next day.

No luck the next day no phone call so I chased him up, he was still not available so they got another rant on the phone (I am getting good at this now :P )
Next day I got a phone call from my local dealer explaining the exhaust was on order for me and would be replaced free due to "your continuing problems with the car" :D
So I am happy but they still give no admittance that its a design fault and insist my replacement is due to my overall problems not just the exhaust.

Yeah they've learnt all about them now. (They have also learnt some colourful metaphors too to coin a phrase  )

In true Monkey/Zoo style though they may have got the last laugh, as when to car came back it had 2 "carpark" dents in the door :x One is on a tricky part of the door and may not fully come out :x
