to be fair the guy has done a gr8 job. 24hr turn around and he even took me home when i took the car there on monday. i looked at all the stuff they replaced and it was all bent and twisted and they even had to cut parts off that we so badly damaged they couldn't be removed otherwise

i am due for my 30k service tomorrow... but mentioned about the roof problems to pug (as a result of the accident, but didn't mention the accident) and so pug in redditch asked me to come in today as i'm still under warranty to look at the parts needed to overnight them and fix it tomorrow morning.

it's my day off work and im there at 9am and then when it's all fixed i've gotta drive up north!!

i want to sleep late !!!

just took the CC to the monkeys and they said the roof catch cannot be fixed for no charge because the car is no longer under warranty!!!

i protested saying it is a 52 model and they then told me that is was an import and only comes with a 2yr warranty!!

this explains why the people who sold me the car didn't give me the handbook - it was probably in another language!!!

so i have to pay for the roof to be fixed - £100!!

total cost of repairs so far - £520... excluding 2 new tyres which i now need to buy (these were new tyres 2 months ago) !!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

i hope the price you paid for the car reflected the fact it was an import

A guy pulled out on me earlier this year & caused me to hit him. I only scuffed my bumper, but it was just before my insurance was due, so when I reported it I was told my no claims had been frozen. Fair enough if it was my fault but it was some tos*er in a company car that hadn't adjusted his mirrors or checked where his indicators were! Anyway, I pervailed & got my money back through my insurance company's solicitors and my no claims remained intact. I got more money than I was expecting & ended up spending it on something else...can't remember what now, probably Smirnoff & shoes...but anyway I just wanted to say I feel for you Dom. Stupid, ignorant drivers that we all end up paying for....I HATE YOU! Rant over. :D

i'm back at PUG on friday to have the other roof catch replaced!!

ive found a bodyshop that is repairing my bumper & bonnet & spraying a new wing for £250. yipee !!. told the insurance to go kiss my arse with their £1350 figure for the damage so my no claims bonus is intact as i'm payin for the work myself ( cheaper than seein my premium go through the roof next year). on the down side my cars engine is in bits at pug as it went for minor warrenty work & they told me that coz its runnnin lumpy they have had a recall to fit hardend piston & valve seats apparrently. therefore if your cars runnnin a bit rough, give em a call coz i dont think theyr advertisin the fact their engines are a bit ropey
