Hi all,

I'm considering a windstop and some chrome hoops, but would like some addtl info from youguys who have used already!

Does a windstop make lots of difference? Will it stop me having to wear a scarf on the motorway in may?? Are they easy to fit or should a girlie like me get one from a dealership, fitted etc?

Are the chrome hoops hard to fit? or is it a dealership thing again??

Cheers for any advice. ;)

 It's a definite for the windstop. With windows up as well, you don't get blown about at all. Most practical purchase I've made for my cc. They are simple to put in and take out as you want. :D

Either Louisg or Rob on the site would be worth a PM...discount to be had on dealership price! :D

Chrome hoops - you can shop around for these - ecosse-peugeot (there's a link on Derek's posts) sell them and they're cheaper than Pug prices. Or you can have a look on eBay. Easy to fit. I'd recommend doing a search on this site as there's plenty of advice and experience on where to buy and how to fit. :D

I caqn understand driving on the motorway with the windows up as it does stop a lot of th wind noise, but why does everyone drive around town at slow speeds with the windows up? It really spoils the look of the car and doesen't make any difference to the noise levels.

I was also considering windstop but it really looks awful on cc :yuck: (or on many other car)
I don't say it's not good to get, with windows up you are almost "windfree" ;)

As for the hoops, they are pretty easy to install, there are quite detailed instructions on the site somewhere that show you how to do it! You do have to take out the rear seats, but it is no big deal - even for a girlie ;)

I bought mine from on eBay from a guy in Germany, dirt cheap!

Here are the ones i got, and only 11 euro's delivery!

I'm with the "no to a windstop brigade", they spoil the look of the car. Must admit that when I see someone with the windows up and a windstop in place I ask myself why did they not buy a 206 with the full size sunroof :?: Having a convertible is all about wind in the hair fun, if you have long hair tie it back.
Windows are only up if on a motorway, in town they are down all the time.

Chrome hoops and a Windstop are the way to go!

Have you seen the chrome hoops in the sun!!! Just the best!

Windstop is great for travelling down the motorway with no discomfort for long journeys. Also helps keep the heat in the car when driving top down in colder weather.

A little tricky to have the passenger window down sometimes...my son has taken to sticking his arm/hand out to see how cold he can get it. :!:

well, that's always been my opinion and I do love the blast of wind you get on the motorway! BUT, I could and would have the top down a lot more on cooler days if I had a windstop. Mind you they don't look great.

maybe just go for the chrome hoops.

many thanks to everybody for the advice and info.

Not true. You just have to unlatch the top of the rear seat backrests, and it will give you enough room to remove and reattach the hoops.
