I have had an ear/jaw infection for about six weeks with me ending up having to have the infection sucked out at the hospital last Thursday (not one of the nicest experiences of my life).
Then I have had to have an antibiotic wick put in, changed yesterday, and another put in tomorrow.
Today is the first day I have felt remotely like driving, but there was no way there was going to be wind blowing past that bad lug.
I thought of you guys all "dissin" me because I didn't have the roof back......It got worse
someone in a cc told me to get it down. To make matters worse the temp showed the higgest reading since I got the car.
Been supporting some of my mates in the half marathon today and was sat on the back of the car roof down!!! Fab weather for it but did sympathise with them!

Ah Bif! Poor you. Ear infections are agony - you have my sympathy. I know what you mean about having to drive around with roof up when it's hot - I'm the first to tell people to "Get it off" and then think, maybe they have a good reason for having the roof up.
Hope you feel better soon
Life's too short to drive around with your roof up.
I normally put roof down despite burning my scalp a few times although I leave it up for short runs (with Aircon turned on - until it decided to pack up today) - now needs a re-gas or new seals as smells damp when turned on. Just hope I don't steam up

Roof must be down unless like bif there is a medical reason not to..........infection or insanity about covers it. I was commutng down south the other day and couldn't have the roof down because my boot was full of stuff, GUTTED.
Down. But we were last weekeng couple of meetings (walking whole day at sunshine) and then have to drive over hundred kilometers to home, so part of the journey have to done with roof up and aircon on. But when we cooled a little then the roof was gone :redhot:
I use on hot days aircon with roof down, it's especially good at traffic lights it's not so bad thing, aircon just tries to cool temperature to it's prescribed temprature, although it's impossible when outside temperature is about +30celsius
Roof OFF with heating or cooling ON definitely works for me !
By the way, I do recall getting called a wimp for having a little whinge about 14 degree topdown driving at the onset of Winter here in Downunder.
I've acclimatized now (not really sure what the lowest temp I've endured topdown - probably about 6 degrees in the middle of the night - great way to cool down on the way home after clubbing ).
I guess it's a matter of what you're accustomed to... We get plenty of 36 degree days down here in Summer and the temp is often over 40 in the middle of the day.
Only real problem is the hole in the ozone layer. 30 mins. exposure here in Sydney is enough to leave you quite burnt if you're not protected. Melanomas should be avoided at all costs. So, not a lot of topless convertibles in the middle of the day here in Summer . But first thing in the morning and driving home of an afternoon are usually just perfect !
