Mini Convertible

Honda Civil Type R was a car on my list of possibles but I think once you've had a convertible it is extremely hard to go back to a hardtop roof. Every morning I wake up and I think is it a roof down day, and to not have the option to do that would be sad. I like the Minis because they are a really cute car (in my opinion anyway) with good BMW build quality and have a decent seats in the back of the car.

I guess BMW need to make a profit on my car by selling it on to someone who will then sell it on to the next owner. Going to try to sell it privately - to get about Â£10,500 at the most would be nice!

I like the Minis because they are a really cute car (in my opinion anyway) with good BMW build quality and have a decent seats in the back of the car.

Don't want to sound as tho i hate mini's or put you off but have you looked on the 'net for forum's for the NEW mini you may change your mind about the build quality and all the problems they have been having

I've actually been a member of one of the mini forums for about a month now and have been chatting with all the peeps there and to be honest the problems dont put me off.

My peugeot has rolled down a hill with its handbreak on when it was 2 months old, its passenger seat has broken, the breaks squeek, it rattles, the drivers door doesnt shut, it doesnt start in the mornings and my indicator stick stopped working (this is not a good advert for selling my car), but Peugeots are so dreadful and I can't possibly see how mini's could be any worse than that... I could be wrong but I'm willing to give it a shot.

the drivers door doesnt shut

The thing in the door frame that holds the door shut (is it called a striker plate?) has probably come loose. Ours has done it twice now. It's held on by two Torx bolts, but fortunately I have a set of Torx drivers.

Just be careful as I've heard that on motorways the Mini is a nightmare. Top speed you can do is 60 as the noise is horrendous and it struggles big time. I think soft tops are noisy anyway (even with our rattling CCs!).
