Oops sorry. Should have said its a snooper S5r and detects radar only. It doesn't have GPS so only detects when within range.

Have spoken with the old man about this. His favourite subject don't forget.

The Road Angel gprs unit sits nicely on the dashboard and the seperate radar detector sticks to the windscreen. If yours is the same you have to make sure that the radar is positioned on the windscreen so that when you're being zapped from behind (if you'll pardon the expression) there are no obstructions (like headrests) in the way. In the middle basically. How high up or down is entirely dependant on the car of course and your line of vision.

If in doubt, contact Snooper and I'm sure they'll help.

I can pick up signals from a gatso camera after I've passed it but not on. I've placed the snooper above the windscreen wipers and to the offside of the windscreen.

Is this the wrong position for it?

Is there any part of the windscreen that doesn't reflect heat so signals will pass through. Someone said the shaded area near the rear view mirror?
