Any thoughts where that "whining" noise is coming from ? Sound comes only when engine is running and you pump gas quickly, it may even heard when you are driving evenly.
Peugeot change the air-manifold under warranty.

Here in Finland (i think they do it in all the Nordic countries) Peugeot change the whole air-manifold under warranty for all 2liter engines (206 and 406). That's because in last winter there were too many peugeot's that were frozen
(breather freeze). Mine has changed and then i had 1year service. One week after that service i noticed slightly whining noise from the engine
We listen to that noise and had no clue where it come from. So dealer changed the air-manifold again ! (they thought some screw were loose). That didn't helped.

Do you mean air-manifold ?Same hereThe manifold has been changed twice so far and the symptoms are still there (so I guess it isn't the manifold?). Someone elses problem from tomorrow though !
Have they change it for all cars in England too under warranty ?

Dealer told me yesterday about that whining noise. It's due to that new manifold
They have heard that whining noise other cars too (where they have been changed the manifold).
So is Peugeot so clever they didn't test that new manifold before they launched it :x
Dealer told me also that manifolds have been changed all Nordic countries, so is it true that also in England ???
Now i'm really pissed off about that noise, but what can i do :x
I have service in couple of weeks. They change sea brackets for driver's seat, adjust passenger side window (it "stammering" when raising it). Rear window doesn't open sometimes with window switch. And new brake pads, so goodbye squeaky brakes

So Peugeot has changed the air-manifold also in England under warranty. Have anyone else noticed that "whining" noise ?
Why they changed the manifold in England, i mean you don't have so cold winter than here in Finland or other Nordic countries

Now i have discovered a puffing sound when you press the gas pedal quikly. It's like there is intake leak, but these cars won't even run if there is such a thing
So anyone else noticed that puff-sound when you press gas quickly, and car is idle running and no gear is chosen. I think it's something to do with the air manifold, you don't notice the sound when you are driving or moving.

Hmm. it seems i'm talking myself here
That "puff" sound seems to come from all 2liter motors! My dealer tested new 407 2liter version and same sound. I have now in testdrive 307SW 1.6liter version (they change my car's hydraulic valve lifters under warranty), and same "puff"-sound (although it's not so clear as from my car).
So what it could be, some airleak or what...
