Cannot believe it... after driving for err, 14yrs without a puncture [and a spare wheel all the time] I woke up today to see my CC with a flat tyre & no spare wheel. (Only had the CC for 4months)
Needless to say, I gave the tyre weld a miss, as I did not want to trash the tyre. Pumped it up and drove to the local Monkeys "Rapid Fit" centre.
Whilst "Rapid Fit" seemed to include staff going on tea breaks while there are paying punters [me] waiting to have their car seen to etc... after about 20mins they took a look. 30mins later & one screw removed from the tyre, I left having paid £14 for a puncture repair.
Quite impressed really - I had half thought I'd be looking at the £100 mark for a new tyre.
All I need now is a space saving spare wheel - or a spare alloy like the CC SE / Allure comes with, that I can get a tyre put onto as a spare.
Puncture!

i'd reccomend getting a tyre inflator you can power from the cigarette lighter..... purely for when your on the road and not at home.
i had a puncture recently until i got two new eagle F1's for the front, and a full tyre would last at least 2 days before it needed re-pressurising, you could easily get to a garage by inflating from the cigarette lighter!!
i'd do this as then at least you can save space. if you get a blowout you'd be stuck but then i guess that's what the AA or the RAC are for!!

Hi all,
Just to let you know that there is a product called PunctureSeal which prevents tyres from puncturing in the first place. This is obviously great for cars with no spare wheel....
My Company (Car Medic) sells this product in Hull and East Yorkshire with the cost of treating 4 x 206 cc tyres being about £40.00. There is a national network of companies who sell this too.
If you would like any information just give me a shout.
Regards
