My cc was booked in the dealer's for 2 days to have some mods, sort the common niggles and have a small dent out of the rear bumper.
On Tuesday, that got extended to 4/5 days as body shop weren't aware. Niggles allegedly sorted.
I phone today...to be told that they need it for another 2/3 working days - likely to be next Wed before I get it back, cause they're re-aligned the roof/doors and changed the seals (due to a little leak) which they tested and said was fine on Tuesday, but now its leaked again whilst they've had the car.
Is this a normal visit for a cc to a dealer? Or is this good service and they really are trying to sort the problems..or am I being fobbed off and they've just not done the work?

sounds fairly normal, although you would have had the car back for a bit then took it in for a few days got it back drove for a bit then took it back but it's all happened at once
Ask WHY they replaced the seals - this is noirmally not necessary, and causes hassle. It only gets done because door alignments are a labour only adjustment, which peugeot waranty don't pay out for. If they replace the seals they are using parts to rectify the situation, and can bill for all parts AND labour!
That will be interesting when the car is finally ready then...coz as far as I'm concerned and was agreed, I'm only paying for the mods and the dent!!!!!
It could be red rag to a bull time

They wont try to charge YOU for the work. labour only warranty adjustmenst are FOC - pug warranty dept pay the dealer for any more serious work.
I only found this out because Kent Auto Panels in Folkestone told me there had been a recal on the roof seals when i went in to get the doors adjusted. Another dealer told me there was no recall and the reasons for them replacing parts. Pug head office confirmed they were talking bollocks about the recall

My cc is home! I asked about this - the first fix they did was to realign and relubricate the seals. They tested for leaks and it was fine, but whilst is was in their compound waiting for the mods, the roof started to leak again. So they changed the seals. No leaks. I read the worksheets...so it's not a fairytale!
I would actually recommend my dealer!!
