just wondering what people have paid for the 40k mile service at pug dealers.

booked mines in for wednesday and was quoted £260. no time to shop around as i'm only 750 miles from the 40k and very busy over the next 2 weeks so i'm using local dealer that has been doing my warranty work.

Derek,

I don't think many on this forum have had a 40k service yet. Most on this forum who would have seem to have sold their 206cc's.

I've 5k before my 40k. Seems I have to thank you for a reference point.

With some many selling up before it reaches 40k? does this mean the CC is not worth keeping for upto 40k miles

From what I can tell it's people's life circumstances that lead them to have to give up their car rather than the car being poor.

Also some people like to change cars before the 3years warranty and MOT exemption come into affect.

Sold mine after 16k as I was fed up with it. Would've sold before 40k even if I was happy with it though :D

my ownership term is a record too so i'm very proud of myself

previous best was 2yrs and 2 months with a 306 but that was only because i had to buy a house which cost £13k between deposit and setting it up or it would have been away long before.

the CC is now approaching 2 years and 4 months so it looks like i will have it until march 2005 which will be a few weeks short of 3 years. i have only kept it that long as it's a nice car. it has nearly been sold on two occasions for a 307CC but it has survived :P

if it wasn't for the fact that it will have about 55k on it when sold i would consider keeping it as a 2nd car.
