Got a appntmnt with Peugeot Manager tonight!

As the above says, I've got a meeting with the garage manager tonight about my car.

here's the list.

Front passenger tyre bald on outer side. Was like this when i bought the car and was reported. Got told the tyre was ok. Car was back in, asked them to re check this, now illegal. I've done 1200 max in the car since i got it.

Front brake discs are fecked, car judders when braking and they screech sooo loud. Was told the brakes were fine just a build up of brake dust, whatever. now they are investigating the screeching.

Oil filter has a possible leak.

Gearbox is leaking.

exhaust is rattling after they said that was also fine.

sump plug (this gets removed to change the engine oil) has not been removed recently or at all.

lacquer on passenger door has run, door is a different colout from wing, dunno if its been in a smash.

they had the car 2 1/2 days. where they put 27 miles on the clock and used a 1/4 tank of petrol.

Looked out my MOT. Which was done same day i got the car and is 1k miles less than what was on it when i got it. Something very very dodgy about the mileage. Seeing as my work is 2.1 miles away from my house.

MY WARRANTY RUNS OUT IN 4 WEEKS!

I'll let you know the outcome of this.....

sump plug may not needed to have been removed. 6k service is only a top up and the 20k service is yet to come

SORTED!

The manager at Peugeot is very nice. He's sound as a pound.

New tyre on car, gearbox and oil filter leaks all sorted.

Getting brakes stripped down and cleaned on Tuesday.

Gonna cost Â£220 total to get door repainted cos they blend it in to each wing, so thats another item on the agenda as previous owner got a ding in it and got the full door repainted.

Oh and getting my 3rd ding out on Tuesday also.

Exhaust still has a rattle but there's nowt wrong with it.

So all in all happy all round.

Still dunno whether to get extended warranty. Will speak to the manager on Tuesday.

Exhaust rattle ???
It's not the manifold problem is it ? That causes a rattle which can sounf like its from the zuast.

noise comes from the front - i dont know what it is

if it's buzzing sort of noise normally around the 2600-2800 rpm mark then it may well be the manifold that needs sorting
