Hi
I've an 03 Allure and just had a recall notice for a new fuel injection system (ref xj2). Has anyone else had one, do you know what it means?
The dealer is ringing me back to book it in once they have the parts......
Thanks

I spoke to my dealer and mentioned this - their response 'There are so many recalls, you'll know about it if you get a letter'. Charming!
The alarming bit - they haven't heard about this recall...and they're the dealer!!

Thanks Everybody
The letter is dated May 04, the main jist is the fuel injection rail needs replacing.....
The number for the recall helpline on the letter is 0118 9458484.
I'll let you know how I get on......oh and by the way, I've asked them when they book it in could they please do the following;
1. The carpet on the driver side (5th time)
2. The brakes (3rd time)
3. The runner on the passenger seat (2nd time)
4. The wheel nut covers (the locking ones on my car are missing)
5. The seatbelts
Has anyone else had the problems with the seatbelts twisting and not being able to get them straight again?
I really love my little Pug, but these niggles are wearing me down now, I've just talked hubby into getting my name down for the new Golf CC, I shall be very sad to see my 206cc go, but not to see the back of the
at the Peugeot zoo.

long time until the golf CC arrives, think it's 2006. even then they are going up against a rival as bmw etc... and not pug, renault, vauxhall etc.. so expect prices to be at a premium

Yeah, hence me saving now Derek!
Hardly think I'm going to run my cc into the ground before then though, I've only done 4k this last year, I still might get rid next year, I'd like to sell whilst there is still some warranty left.
Also Derek, I gotta admit, your patience astounds me, I'd have lost it way before now if I were you! Reading your post makes me feel really disloyal.

this recall is for the fuel shrider valve at the end of the fuel rail on some of the 1.6 and 1.8s have been fitted incorrectly, causing at worst fuel to leak out or a strong smell of fuel coming into the car.
there is a replacment modified fuel rail avaliable for it now.
not all models are effected though.need to read identity numbers on the fuel rail.
