Think its luck of the draw. Mine are okay after being fixed by the dealer.

Strange after squeeking, my brakes seem to have settled down for now - maybe just dust - won't speak too soon though.

SQQQUUUUEEEEEEAAAAKKKKKKKK!
Thats the sound of my CC after the dealer reckoned they had fixed the squeak.
When I mentioned to them that the squeak was still there they said thats the best they can do. Rambled on about about how the disk is now dimpled and the squeak will never go away 100%!
Do you think the monkeys are talking a loads of bananas (polite way of putting it!) again!?

Took mine in and they did whatever they do (they did describe it but I glazed over halfway through and certainly can't remember now!) They started squeaking a couple of days after but have settled down again now, haven't made a sound for ages

Perhaps Peugeot will bring out a nice embossed pair of break squeeking earmuffs in their next accessory catalogue

Due to envirmental and health implications (asbest) they use new materials for the breaks.
If the breakpads have any inclusions...(Which they shouln't have like the perfect lacquer on your bodywork)...These bits will harden during the baking process creating hard rubbery bits. These bits will squeeeeeeck.

1. Clean them
2. Polish them (Pug uses Copperpaste)
3. Replace them
4. Haven't found out yet...

So that's it. ;)

I was told by Peugeot that the brake pads actually have dimples on them. Thats how they are made now as a replacement to asbestos!!!????? So they said there isn't a proper fix to my squeak!

Julia, isn't it about time your mouse died of old age (unless its breeding in there).

I think it must have begun breeding!
Just watch out where you park when and if you come to the meet! I will be directing them away from my CC personally!
