CC's cloth seats seems to "suck" in all hair (humans and animals). We have two cats and a dog and it seems they live in my car (although they are in car very rarely).
And it's very tricky to take out all that hair from seats :x

Is the leather cold in the winter? I'd only have leather seats if they are heated :D

leather is also easier to keep clean. cloth seats in a dusty environment can probably get dirty a lot easier.
yep and I also agree its easier to sell come resale as more customers seem to opt for leather on a classy car like the CC. I also had no problems with leather in any cab I've owned so I reckon getting burnt with leather is more a myth.

Leather is the best!!!

You don't get burnt with leather but the seats will be very warm when left directly in the sun.

Leather is also prone to cracking or fading if subjected to direct sunlight for long periods of time. Best get a conditioner and wipe it regularly in the summer

[quote=""Danielle""]Can anyone shed some light on this decision?

Is a convertable with leather seats a bad idea (I'm thinking 3rd degree burns after the cars been outside Tesco for an hour with the top down!).

Never mind the leather seats......I almost got 3rd degree burns from the aluminium gear knob today!!!!! Could be nasty!!

I prefer the cloth to the leather. The leather looks lovely but my bf has a Smart Car convertible with leather seats and if you wear a t-shirt which shows absolutely any skin at all, when you have been sat on the seat for about 10 minutes and try to pull your skin off the seat, it is the most painful experience!!.. worse than having a leg waxed!

And I would be SUPER careful when buying a second hand cc (or a new one come to that). The build quality inside and out can be extremely misleading, although you never know.. not all of them are bad eggs and maybe the person who owned it before you will have had all the niggles fixed. Just test drive it a lot and throw a bucket of water over it to see if it leaks :o)

While we are on the subject of leather seats, do people put any kind of conditioner etc on them? If so, what do you recommend?

Also, I've got a tiny "scratch" on one of the back seats and didn't know if there was something I could put on it to hide it. It's not bad like a tear/rip, just annoys me though.

Ta!

;) Now that would be telling!

Only what other nice girls do with their aluminium knobs - change gear!! :D
