I am considering selling my beloved 206 CC S for a Honda Civic Type-R in the near future and whilst I'm saving up my pennies, I was wondering how much people think my pug is worth? It's a 52 Reg, Aegean Blue, Sirocco 15" wheels, sports pack, and has currently done 11,600 miles, in sparking condition with 1 careful lady owner :D

I want to know if people think it would be better to sell this coming September or March? My thinking behind September is that it's closer, so the car will be newer, less mileage (although I only drive 2 miles to work every day and that's it), or would it be worth waiting to March where more people will want a convertible as summer is coming, but it will be older.. is there much difference in it?

If all your experts out there could help me decided I would be extremely grateful!!! Carly

it's supposed to be better waiting until summer but prices i was getting offered a few weeks ago don't reflect this. i was only getting offered £11k max against a 307CC

Thanks guy - I was hoping for around £11K and was hoping it wouldn't go into the £10K area. I will have to save up my money and see whether a winter or a summer sale comes first!

i feel u will be lucky to get £11k. mines has higher mileage and is 02 reg but is an SE with leather and numerous extra's and getting £11k is a real struggle. best bet is to sell private as that's what the dealers were advising me to do.

doing so might also get you a discount on your next car. i managed to agree a £1500 discount on a 307CC paying it cash with no trade-in.

if i didn't need to wait 8 weeks then i would have ordered one :D

Cabs always sell better in Summer so best off load it now while you can while the car is in high demand.

Would you get more for the car if you traded it in for another peugeot?

I discovered that you can consult the Glass' guide on the Peugeot website.

I don't know of an easy way to do this, so I've type the whole thing out.

Go to www.peugeot.co.uk

click on the '206cc' button
click on 'build your own car'
Select a car
select a trim
click on 'next'
click on 'next' again
click on 'consult Glass' guide'

Though it might not too helpful as it doesn't appear to go beyond 2001(Y)

You could also try www.parkers.co.uk or www.loot.com.

I somehow don't think you're going to get 11k. :(

Thank you chaps for all your help and advice. In response to getting another Peugeot.. I dont think I will ever get another Peugeot again. I began with a 206 1.1 about 4 years ago and liked it so much so decided to get the cc.. but every since I got the cc it's just been such a disaster and everything that could have broken on it has broken, and I'm not too fussed about going back to the dealer etc but some of the things have been really dangerous like the handbreak not working and I just don't trust or feel safe in my car anymore :/ But.. I do love cruisin with the roof down :D
