Some complete and utter :censored: cut me up this evening and has trashed my front wing (well, ok, not trashed exactly but it's flamin' unsightly!).

Anyone know of any decent body shops around the Slough/Uxbridge area and how much roughly it costs to have dents knocked out?

Cheers

AAAGH! Sorry m8   I had the body shop at Burnham Garage (in Burnham, not the one in the Farnham Rd) do a fabulous job on a small dent on my wing - but it was very small. Why not take it along and they'll tell you if the can roller it out... Pauline

I'll look for that on the way home. Peugeot's body shop in Uxbridge reckon it's a new wing though. Anyone any idea how much that's likely to be? £60 for the wing itself, then there's painting & labour.

So Peugeot have called back with a quote of around £600. Are they having a laugh?

Should it be covered under their insurance anyway?

When you're in the middle of a road rage incident, you tend to forget things like reg numbers and the last thing you want to do is get out and exchange details ;)

He'd cut me up on the roundabout earlier, then started hurling abuse, before he finally cut in front and hit my wing.

There was a police car around who I'm pretty sure saw something coz he raced up the inside with his light on, cut in front of me (so between me and the :censored: and turned his light off.

As I turned off, I saw his light go back on so I don't know if he stopped the other fella, or was just late for his tea. I'm hoping that if he did see it and/or stopped the other car, he made some sort of report or note. If so, I should be able to sort it out that way.

If not, I'm looking for the cheapest option, unless I decide to hell with it and claim on my own - thankfully I've got NCB protection but there's still the excess

So. Anyone know of any black 206s in scrappies anywhere? The other option is to salvage a wing and bolt it on myself :P

Know how you feel, I had to have a new front wing fitted and painted few months back due to a silly MGF driver who was reading a map while driving. Cost £480. Bodyshop I used is not near enough to help you, but thought I would put the price up for you as a reference.

Not a main dealer then, I take it? I went to them to get a sort of 'maximum' on the basis that anyone else should be cheaper. I certainly didn't expect them to come out with £600 though

Took it to a dent repair place who said they can try, but it'll probably look like it's been repaired if they do, so it's a new wing.

Took it to the place they recommended (APR in Ruislip) who've quoted £290 (inc VAT) plus the cost of the wing itself. They're charging £200 for labour, v Pug's £300, and £55 for paint v Pug's £110.

No mine was not repaired at Peugeots, but at an independant bodyshop. Good luck btw I have heard that black can be a pain to match colour.
