Well guys....

I have just been to see a 2002cc 2.0 Black SE. It still has 1yrs warranty and I offered £10650 for it. They accepted and I'm just awaiting my loan application to go through!

Do you think I got a good deal??

Dom.

Sounds good to me :D

Important to have the warranty in case of any niggles. I'm guessing a private purchase?

Good luck on the loan...let us know when it goes through and u pick it up!

I've had my cc since Saturday and I'm chuffed to bits...starting to get my mods now! :D

yes it was a private purchase.... they said they would sell it to me and tell any further enquirers it was sold.... my only worry is now if someone offers more before i can get the cash to them.

how long after being approved for a loan does it usually take to get the cash??

does anyone think offering them a deposit might keep them sweet??

Yes..get a holding deposit down as soon as your loan app is approved..and something in writing from the seller...so they don't sell it to someone else.

Can you get your loan approved in principle..quite often this can be done over the phone...so you know its just a matter of paperwork going through. Turnaround on loans can be from 24 hrs to 1 week..depends on the company you're using.

That would be my advice.

i applied online and i was told i will get written notification within 2 business days. i will call them tomorrow and ask to see the car again with a friend on sat... and give them a deposit then.

and as for written contracts.... they are both criminal lawyers and so i think they may have the upper hand there!!

although being criminal lawyers they told me all their clients had problems getting into this lock....:)

so i should get one!!! £65!

Cool! :D

Don't listen to that criminal lawyer rubbish..they are the worst for keeping verbal promises..believe u me! Bought a house off two lawyers...no end of trouble...don't mean to worry you ;)

Get them to do a standard receipt..deposit received, etc, for (car)..etc.

Yes, keep in contact with them and get that deposit to them.

You sound real excited...great! :D

PS. That lock looks mean!!!!

Yes I got an AA loan and the chq delivered by courier on a Saturday. It does cost £45 for the service but I wrote a letter to them moaning about something they had done and got that waived. :D

Did you manage to have a drive with the roof down this weekend?

It has been pretty dull with intemittent rain here...so no roof down this weekend at all here... :(

But washed it..and roof doesn't leak still..phew! :)

Can you polish the scratches out..or is it a touch up job?

Squeaky bits..yep..got a few of those myself..clutch occasionally (only hear it when music is off!) and brakes..car goes in when my personal plates are put on..so hopefully Friday this week - M11 AFG (March 11 - birthday and initials..not disimilar to your thinking!) :)

Have fun! :D
