Hi,
Im new here and I myself have a cc 02 reg .... i have had nothing but trouble with it since the day I bought it from new! In total its had 4 new speedometers, the roof re sealed due to leaking, this is due to go in yet again to have it re sealed for the 2nd time!, the door catch not closing properly, jets gone on the front screen wash ......... i called Trading Standards about my car not long after i had it and they told me that there was nothing I could do being as the car was under warranty, and i needed to go and see my dealer who would repair t for me under the warranty, ive just had my 2 yr service on it and been told the brake pads need changing in about 6 mths time, and i dread to think that once the warranty expires how much this heap of junk is going to cost me in repairs! Im sure the car i purchased was knocked together on a friday afternoon!!
Then to top it all off my local dealer is lending me a courtsey car for when mine is in the garage for 2 days for the roof to be repaired and they have told me that its now Peugeot's policy that customers using a courtsey car have to sort out their own insurance for the car they are borrowing, so this is going to cost me £20, through my insurance company!
I definatley will not be buying another Pug and i would never recommend to anyone to ever buy one too.
Disappointed Newbie!

Sounds like you had a duff one
Doesn't sound like Trading Standards helped - but if you had so many problems then you're well within your rights to reject the car. However, you usually need to do this fairly soon after you've bought it so I guess you don't have that choice any more.
You're not alone in the problems you've had (which is why in a recent survey Pug came 30 out of 33 for customer satisfaction!). However, I know many Peugeot drivers who have never had a problem with their car. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions though
Besides, if you're that unhappy with it why don't you just sell it and buy something Japanese?

I did get in touch with the garage where i bought it from airing my concerns to them about how dissatisfied i was with the car but i didnt get anywhere, i did think maybe a few teething problems.
i cant yet sell it becos i have another 12 mths left until its paid for but as soon as it is i will seriously consider looking for another car. I just didnt expect all this trouble with a brand new car, the problems have been going on for nearly 2 years now, ive even got my own reserved parking spot at the garage becos i visit them so often
)
Dont get me wrong, i do like the car, and love the facility to have a hard top but then convertible too.

I took out a 3 year loan to buy my 206cc and have still got just under a year left of paying for it - even though I sold it last year. Did you take the loan out on the 206cc or was it just a personal loan?

The garage that i go to will not cover me on their own insurance for a courtsey car, they wont cover anyone, i have done some ringing aboutand its not a pug policy at all like they told me its the owner of the garage who has made this policy, they are just a pug dealer, pug dont actually own the garage.
i may well consider selling it, yes i do have a loan on the vehicle but its not through Peugeot.

I think it's quite common these days for Dealers not to cover courtesy cars on their insurance. My Dealer wouldn't and I ended up with problems get my insurance company to keep covering me for courtesy cars. They became suspicious why I needed courtesy cars all the time and were charging me £25 a time. In the end I switched to Tesco who were quite happy to cover me free of charge.
Have you complained to Peugeot HQ yet about your Dealers inability to fix your problems?

Yes when I first started getting problems i contacted HQ and they called me and said that if i didnt get the problem (which at the time was the speedometer ) fixed then go back to them, this was fixed but all i get told is that the car is under warranty so its not costing me to have it repaied, which to me isnt all of the issue, the issue is the inconvenience of being without my car on and off whilst its being fixed.
I am however, going to be writing to Head Office in Coventry again, i have their address and im in the processof putting together a letter.

Good luck. After I wrote to Peugeot HQ I did initially get a better response from my Dealer. But when my car went in to to have my list of faults fixed it was in for 5 days and all they did was replace the front brake pads and upgrade the software.
That was the final straw for me and I swapped my cc the following day for a Toyota - hassle free but slightly less stylish
motoring since.

Hi Alig
and welcome to the forum.
Don't worry about the problems you will have read on here. The CC is much like any other car in that you get some duff one's (see above) and some great one's
Mine's only been to my dealer once (other than the service) and my experience with the dealer was OK.
Enjoy your top down motoring (trust me, it's not hard!) and I hope you have as much fun as I do in my CC!
