I would have thought it would be warranty issue. However, I've heard that replacement leather is not always the same colour, so make sure to state that when (or if!) they replace it they get a perfect colour match or you won't be accepting the work.

If the car is more than a year old you will be very lucky to get a new squab fitted.. It is more likely that it will be repaired..

I had to get the Factory inspector from Ryton to look at the leather seats in my 206GT before the work was authorised.. That was after 10 months of ownership..

Taking it into PUG this week because they need to have a look at it.. I'm sure they would repair it i've only done 13,000 miles in it, so if they say its done to wear and tear i will definately take it further!

It's not a big job all they have got to do is re-stitch the leather, i don't need any replacement leather..

thanks guys

Will keep you posted on the outcome

Hi

I had the same problem, got the passenger front squab replaced by the dealer with no probs, the site of the rip showed it obviously wasn't a place where *wear and tear* would occur.......

Hope this helps
