took my CC into the zoo today for it's 2 day holiday. i had a courtesy car booked and they just handed me the keys to it and gave me a rough idea of where to find it :?

after tracking it down, a 206LX i opened the door to find a funny looking stick thingwy so guessed it must be an automatic :D

i went back in and asked for a lesson on how to work it - sounded complicated but ok once you get going :P

now yesterday i started work at 3.45pm and got home this morning at 4.45am so was just a little tired. i had a quick 1hr sleep before going to the zoo at 8.30am and came home, had something to eat before going bavk to bed at 10am...............

this meant a phone call from the zoo at 12.15pm to say the bodyshop had handed the car back to them because they couldn't get the roof down  wasn't welcome

in my normal dealer friendly tone  i asked, WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN'T GET THE ROOF DOWN - IT WAS FINE LAST WEEK!!!!!! :D so she said it again and i asked, and is the safety cover extended ????? errrr what do you mean (sounding quite thick) so i explained and she said she would give it back to them and get them to phone me if there were any problems - no phone call so i guess they worked out how to use the roof

now short on confidence they have filled me with horror wondering what they have done to my car :yikes: ............

they just called to say only 2 wheels (alloys getting swapped under warranty) are in so they will do the other 2 tomorrow - fine. i asked how the roof was to be told they have re-adjusted the seals and stretched another one that wasn't fitting correctly :yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

will it ever be the same again :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

Noooo! I am scared now, as I have just learnt that my CC has got to go into the local Zoo for 2 days. They [allegedly] need to replace all of the roof seals to fix a leak where the roof meets the windscreen on the drivers side.

Allegedly, this involves removing the entire roof mechanism - hence the 2 day stay at the zoo. The service guy helpfully added "we can't leave your car out overnight with no roof on" - so there is some hope I guess.

I am not looking forward to handing my CC over to the zoo for 2 days, as it will probably come back in worse condition than when it went in. Oh well, I am keeping a list of all the faults, just in case I have to go down the "reject car" route [hope not].

don't wanna frighten you :) but.......

my 1st CC leaked above driver at front seal and the monkeys tried to fix it and the result was it leaked at all 4 bits :?

they ordered new seals which made no difference and car was rejected.

good luck :D

different monkeys i may add, they were even worse than the current lot

just to put jllo's mind at rest, i had the same leak above both roof handles, they fixed first time, not had any leaks since, and thats a well over a year now. I think they replaced all the seals, it was a known fault and required modification, not sure why a newer car would have the same known fault though - do they not learn ? :D
