don't be silly, it's orange

on a brighter note, went back to the dealer today. phoned up after leaving a funeral and they said they would take a look at it.

there was a scratch on the roof, they said they will try and do something next time it goes in for other work. the main problem was that when i got home yesterday and gave the car a wash i opened the boot to see the plastic cover which goes over the 'pull cord' for the roof was hanging 1/2 off. i put this back on and put the roof down to clean inside.

went down fine, heard a funny noise towards the end and as for putting it back up it wouldn't move    never failed once in 2 years but it does the minute the zoo gets near it

eventually got it put back up manually - what a f****** nightmare that was trying to read the crap pug manual diagrams :P

anyway today they said that they are allowed to have the roof in progress of opening for a maximum of 5 minutes and maybe it had been left for longer - meaning the roof never knew where it was.

so while i waited they fixed it. heated rear window had stopped working too, only noticed that this morning but that's fine too now, must be linked.

I dont know if it's still on here, but Lyndon has some very detailed videos on how to operate the roof manually. I think, Downloads/Video Clip's.

It's a good idea to learn from them for anybody else reading this as it's extremely helpfull. Like Derek said, the book is crap for that kind of thing.

the book is crap as mr harrod says and i had to do it in the dark which made it even harder.

i could do it myself now but i had to phone a mate to help me as it wasn't easy working out how to do it the first time round - lucky he wasn't far from home when i phoned him as rain wasn't far away :D
