Changing my 1.6 for a 2.0? Should I?

Hi all, looking for some advice:

My local dealer has a 53 plate Nov 03 2.0 allure in blue with 1,200 miles from a deceased estate to sell.

I'm tempted to trade in my 51 plate 1.6 with 23k. He's offered me 9k for mine (done 23k miles) and the 2.0 is 14.5k (5.5k to change).

The 2.0 unfortunately doesn't have the colour coded bumpers. Strangely, there's no Lion logo on the boot lid. Normal or accident damage?

Any thoughts on if this is a good deal???

Many thanks,

C

Try the 2.0 and see if you think £5,500 is worth it for the extra performance. Also bear in mind that you'll have worse depreciation on the new CC so, if you sell it in a year or 2, you'll loose even more money so it could cost you £7k or even £8k to change. Is the performance worth it? I wouldn't say so... also!!!!!! Better the devil you know - you'd kick yourself if the new one leaked! Any help?

i think you would be a mug to pay that. i could have changed the now if i had gone ahead for a 307CC 180 with leather & cruise control for under £9k.

mines is an 02 but has done 33k miles

Personally, if I was looking to change I'd try a different car. I always think there are so many different cars out there that to have two that are essentially the same is a bit silly.

i think the same as carl, why buy the same car again.

once i bought 3 106's in 3yrs, trim upgrade each time - looking back the only difference was the colour. since then i have never bought the same car again.

as much as i love it, i won't buy another 206CC again as i don't see the point.

local dealer has 53reg CC SE's at £14,495 in blue and silver one with 77 miles and one with delivery. there's also an 03 in diablo red with 1100 miles at £13,995 - all 3 are fully colour coded. Y reg CC SE's are selling for £11,695(2)

Thanks for all your comments.

* All the other badges are there, the 'allure' text on the sides etc.

The point in thinking about changing was:

* I'd like a 207cc and by the time it comes out, I figure the 03 cc would probably be 3 yrs old then and ripe for change :)

* I'd like the leather & extra performance.

* I'll have a go on price and see if I can do anything! I thought there was a reasonable saving from new (2k) and thought that the initial depreciation was probably accounted for in this.

Still quite tempted tho....
