What's the view on putting mudflaps on the 206cc. Dont see many pictures with them on.

Is it worth having them to protect the car?

Comments please!

they do protect the lower parts of the door's from stones etc being flicked up by the tyres but i haven't seen any CC's round here with them :?

there are however 2 types, black rubbery ones and coloured ones hardish plastic which i assume are more expensive :(

Ive got the black ones on my GTi.

Just ignore the instructions for the fronts coz the wheel stick out beyond them so they won't do anything!

Fit them so they stick out the same as the wheels and you'll be fine.

I got them to protect my rear SP arches.
They flaps defiantely are worth it and it's amazing how much cleaner the rear wheels are due to less muck getting thrown off the front.

They cost £12 from the Peugeot dealer so if you dont like them you aint wated much cash.

My Peugeot dealer said they would cost £50. I assume these are different ones!

Thats probably for the sculpted ones.
The black ones look fine, dont look cheap or anything. At the end of the day they are mud flaps, they aint there to do a pretty job so why pay silly money?

At the end of the day, your car's there to get you from A to B so why spend silly money? :P

Mudflaps are no sillier (less silly, even) than chrome hoops, lexus-style lights, SP grilles and all the rest.

If you look at it like that i.e. car getting from A to B what are you doing with a 206cc, you might as well have a Skoda!

I think Alex was taking the p--- with his first comment Donna! ;) :D

But i do have to disagree with the second part of your post Alex - i think mudflaps are REALLY silly whereas all the other stuff looks fine! :P

Fairly obviously enuff my opinion of whether you should have mudflaps is certainly not!

The dirt that gets sprayed up the side of my car looks a hell of a lot better than mudflaps would, in my opinion! 8)

Dirt on the car doesn't look silly.

The stone chips along the sills and the rear arches do look silly. Will also devalue your car.

I've got mudflaps, they come as "standard" here in Finland. They are must in winter time. I don't see they are silly things, take a look of pictures of my car and you can't even see those mudflaps ;)

The front flaps are barely noticeable but make a massive difference to the amount of dirt and grit that hits the sides and doors of the car.
