I push the power-button (CD-player's button) to pause the CD ;)
When i put power back on, then the player continues where it was before powering off.

Firstly, to pause the CD, press the up and down volume buttons on the stalk at the same time for about 1 and a half/2 seconds. It will show mute on the display but it actually pauses.

Secondly, I have a 1.6 and the button on the left stalk does nothing. If you have a 2.0, it should do something and I think derek is correct, its the autolight thing. Either that or speed sensitive window wipers. From what I remember in the manual anyway.

Also pushing both volume up and down on the stalk at the same time pauses it

Damn beaten to it, if you hold the left button in when the engine is off it turns auto lights on or off

No pause on mine. What a pain.

Usually push radio then turn the sound down. then when ready, turn sound up and push CD.

Thanks guys .. got this 'learn Spanish in your car' CD that demands regular pausing to answer the question they just asked you ..

And when you're trying to say

'Es Possible et la Spaniardo'

Its confusing when Kiss100 suddenly starts blaring out cos you had to switch to radio!
