Thanks, I will ask about the Optiflex test when they next phone to tell me my car's ready, then I'll ask them whether they've diagnosed the fault with the steering and they'll say we can't find anything wrong, and I'll say you haven't driven it on a straight road then have you .... but now they can try this.

Ok

My main agent (5 branches in the local area) does not have the equipment for Optiflex.

The Service Manager has accepted that the steering wheel is not straight when you are driving in a straight line, so agreeing on this point he says that they'll "straighten the wheel" tomorrow. (They have apparently already done this, on a previous visit 2 weeks ago, but maybe it needs doing again) I said that is fine.

If/when this does not cure the problem I will pursue it further. With any luck there will be a miracle and all will be hunkydory when he calls at my door tomorrow having straightened the wheel.

I hope so.

my local dealer always says their tracking machine is broken too - have been saying that for over a year :rolleyes:

If they cant do it get them to give you the stats for the weights and take it down kwik fit (who wont touch it without the numbers)
